Country: France Region: South-West  Varietal: Chardonnay (100%) Vintage: 2019 Colour: White Style: Dry Producer: Tariquet Description:Tariquet has been the cradle of the Grassa family since 1012. In 1946, Helene and Pierre Gassa restored the estate and develop the vineyards. In 1972, two of their children, Maite and Yves, took over the estate and decide to bottle and sell the Bass-Armagnac produced at the estate under their own name. In 1982, they started to produce their first wine. Today Yve's two sons, Armin and Remy, represent the third generation of winemakers at the helm of the estate. With 900 hectares of vines in production, Tariquet is the largest family owned wine estate in France. All our wines are made exclusively from estate grown fruit and produced and bottled at the Domaine du Tariquet estate, allowing for quality control from the vines to the bottles. Tasting Note:This fine wine offers delicacy, strength and good structure, having fermented and aged in fine-grained French oak barrels. Its subtle bouquet reveals floral notes, fresh butter and hints of vanilla. Fresh and intense at entry, rich flavours then give way to pleasant toasty notes. Shades of vanilla oak underline the Chardonnay’s well-rounded palate and aromatic intensity.   Food Matches: White Meat / Cheese / Fish
