**GOLD MEDAL ROYAL NEW ZEALAND SHOW*** Country: New Zealand Region: Martinborough Varietal: Riesling Vintage: 2015 Colour: White Style: Dry Producer: Palliser Estate Description: Palliser Estate Riesling is beautifully scented, with intense lightly sweet lemon and lime flavours and a long, racy finish. Garden fresh, fruity and zesty, it bursts with varietal character. It is one of Martinborough's top white wines. At its best, it's a truly exciting mouthful. Michael Cooper - Classic Wines of New Zealand Colour: Bright, pale straw colour with slight green hues Aroma:  The nose is very fresh, elegant and pure in expression with aromas of limes, white florals and a suggestion of honeysuckle entwined with delicate, mouthwatering mineral elements. Ageing Potential: 6 Years Tasting Note: The fruit builds in depth and penetration with a positive core with aeration. Off-dry to taste and light-medium bodied, the palate features gently succulent fruit flavours of limes, lifted by white florals, and enriched by delicate honeysuckle notes. Thirst-quenching, chalky mineral notes provide balancing dryness and cut, and the wine follows a very fine-textured line with ripe, integrated acidity, leading to a soft, dry, long lingering finish of florals and limes. This is an aromatic, off-dry Riesling with delicate lime, floral and honeysuckle richness and soft, mouthwatering acidity Winemaking: Fruit from the company’s ‘Om Santi’ and ‘Palliser’ vineyards, vines 10 and 18 y.o., indigenous yeast fermented for two-thirds of ferment then inoculated, to 11.9% alc., 7.7 g/L RS, pH 2.93, the wine on primary lees for 3 months Ageing Potential: Serve as an aperitif and with mildly spicy Asian cuisine over the next 5+ years.
