Each year a small number of the oldest and most exceptional casks are hand picked to create Connemara 12 Year Old Peated Single Malt. Containing some of the first distillations of Connemara, the 12 Year Old is a whiskey of great complexity and sophistication. A full, rounded and complex flavour that is both smooth and smoky at the same time. Inspired by Ireland’s ancient distilling traditions, Connemara’s smooth sweet malt taste and complex peat flavours makes it a truly unique Irish whiskey. Connemara is the most decorated Irish whiskey with a huge collection of Gold Medals and has been honoured as the “Worlds Best Irish Single Malt”. Connemara allows you to unearth the Peated Pleasures of Ireland. Nose: Lemony and fresh, a hint of custard and creamy malt. Quite light, oily peat which melds with a deft touch of light apple and pear. Palate: Sweet, fizzy almost, with rustic, earthy peat, fruit and vanilla cream, a touch of gingery, spicy oak. Quite light in body with some typical Bourbon cask character. Finish: Light finish, medium length, some vanilla and tangy fruit with traces of oily smoke and spice. 1 x 70cl bottle in a presentation box
