Although much warmer than the cool climate of the Côte d'Or great care has been taken to ensure that it is every bit as elegant. A bright yellow gold hue and seductive scents of blossom and cinnamon spice. A remarkable melange of pears, peach, honey toffee, cream and vanilla (from a short spell of oak ageing) on the palate. Beautifully balanced with ripeness, acidity, length and real structure. It is a lightly oaked Chardonnay, and it is an absolutely phenomenal wine - as good in our opinion as a Chablis 1er Cru. But that's just us, you really do need to try this one. It is a classic Burgundy, and an example of an outstanding chardonnay from grapes produced at various sites in the Macon. Outstandingly moreish!
