Responsible for the monumental and eye-wateringly expensive white wines of Burgundy, Chardonnay remains king for many wine aficionados. Here you can enjoy exceptional expressions of this great grape from all corners of the globe. We import every one of them exclusively so you know our team have tried, tasted and approved - call them our favourite Chardonnay's!  Chateau de Gaure ChardonnayLimoux, France2 x 75cl BottlesAOP Limoux. 60% Chardonnay, 30% Chenin blanc, 10% Mauzac. The grapes are hand picked in small boxes and manually sorted in the cellar before pressing. Fermented with native yeasts and aged on the lees in 1 to 8 year old French oak barrels for 9 months. Goes through malolactic fermentation. Light filtering before bottling. 13,200 bottles produced. 14% alcohol. This wine is a wine of stunning quality, it bursts with ripe red apple, lemon and southern French herbs. Dry with a super long finish. Contessa Camilla Chardonnay Abruzzo, Italy 2 x 75cl BottlesThis vintage was commended at Decanter Magazines World Wine Awards. A clean fresh and mineral driven chardonnay from Abruzzo. Grapes here are picked earlier than the red grapes for ripeness, and freshness, without overripening sugar levels and higher alcohol. The result is a wine in great harmony and balance.  Domaine Icare Chardonnay Languedoc, France  2 x 75cl Bottles This classic Burgundian variety has been produced in the sunny climate of Languedoc in the south of France. Although much warmer than the cool climate of the Côte d'Or great care has been taken to ensure that it is every bit as elegant. A bright yellow gold hue and seductive scents of blossom and cinnamon spice. A remarkable melange of pears, peach, honey toffee, cream and vanilla (from a short spell of oak ageing) on the palate. Beautifully balanced with ripeness, acidity, length and real structure. A very classy Chardonnay Morillion Blanc Chardonnay Jeff Carrell, Languedoc, France2 x 75cl BottlesFrom the South of France and produced by Jeff Carrell who many wine critics say, is the next ‘Steve Jobs of wine’ because he is doing things very differently – The 2019 vintage  has won a heap of Gold medals since its release. It is a lightly oaked Chardonnay, and it is an absolutely phenomenal wine - as good in our opinion as a Chablis 1er Cru. But thats just us, you really do need to try this one. Genetie Illumine Chardonnay BourgogneBurgundy, France2 x 75clThis wine  is classically unoaked.  It is very ripe with notes of peara and apple flavours combined with crisp acidy and excellent length on the finish. It is a classic Burgundy, and an example of an outstanding chardonnay from graopes produced at various sites in the Macon. Outstandingly moreish! Shadow Point ChardonnaySanta Barbara, California2 x 75cl BottlesFrom vineyards in California’s Central Coast region. The Chardonnay vineyard has its own AVA, San Bernabe and sits next to a chain of hills which separate the vineyards from the Pacific coast. The name Shadow Point relates to the shadows which form over the vineyard as the setting sun falls in the west, behind the neighbouring hills. This is a modern CA Chardonnay, on the nose there is an appealing salinity over toasted hazelnut aromas. The palate has a stone fruit and struck match structure to it that gives it a gentle minerality.
