Redbreast 12-Year-Old Single Pot Still Irish Whiskey has just been awarded the ‘Worldwide Whiskey Trophy 2019’ after scoring a fantastic 98/100 points at the International Wine & Spirit Competition. This isn’t the first accolade for the largest selling Single Pot Still Irish Whiskey in the world. Back in 2010, it won Irish Whiskey of the Year. All in all, it is a popular whiskey on Irish soil and across the globe. A 100% heavy pot still whiskey with a high sherry ageing percentage.Single Pot Still whiskey is unique to Ireland in general and to the Midleton Distillery, Co. Cork, in particular, and is regarded as the quintessential style of Irish whiskey. Made from a mash of malted and unmalted barley and then triple distilled in traditional copper pot stills, Pot Still whiskeys are characterised by full, complex flavours and a wonderful creamy mouthfeel. The genesis of Redbreast dates back to 1903 when John Jameson & Son entered into an agreement with the Gilbeys Wines & Spirits Import Company to supply them with new make spirit from their Bow St. Distillery. The brand died off with the closure of Jamesons distillery but was recently relaunched and is a huge favourite with both whiskey drinkers and connoisseurs.  Tasting Note Nose Aromas of crème caramel, toffee and dried fruits with some touches of spice and coffee Palate Rich and oily on the palate with flavours of dried fruits, roasted nuts and exotic spices. Finish Long, spicy and warm 'Stupendous nose....just a sip is enough to fill your mouth with a multi-layered attack of malt and pepper plus a few sherry notes with the pot still arriving on the 2nd wave and refusing to budge...this is a marvellous whiskey' -Jim Murray A Taste of Irish whiskey. 1 x 70cl in Presentation Gift Box
