Golden Irish Yew A native Irish conifer with very upright growth, forming wide columns, the Golden Irish Yew has fantastic striking golden variegated foliage. Taxus baccata ‘Fastigiata Aurea’ is a small to medium sized tree whose foliage can tolerate heavy pruning, though left to its own devices will form a flat top eventually. In Winter, the Yew carries red berries of which the seeds are poisonous to man but eaten by birds. A useful tree for difficult sites and soils. Used in heritage gardens for avenue trees.
