Broad-leaved Spindle
Closely related to the familiar native spindle, Euonymus latifolius is large, deciduous shrub with an upright, open habit. The flowers are insignificant. The deep green, oval leaves, much larger than those of the native spindle, beautifully set off the deep crimson fruits, which split to reveal orange seeds. The leaves later turn brilliant red. An easy shrub which sets the garden ablaze for a long period in autumn.
