Montbretia Emberglow
A richly-coloured, imposing plant for the late summer garden, Crocosmia Emberglow is a clump-forming, cormous, deciduous perennial with a strongly upright habit and gracefully arching, branching flower stems above the narrow, pleated, mid-green leaves. The trumpet-shaped flowers, 2-3”/5cm long, are borne in two rows; they are deep red, perfect for a ‘hot’ border of flowers of contrasting habit, like dahlias; also good in more naturalistic plantings, with grasses. The flowers are followed by seeds which make good winter decorations.
