As a child he learned the basics from his father, and became fascinated with the idea of conserving memories. Following themes of nostalgia and storytelling, Zak’s recent personal work documents the vibrant colours and textures of his local landscape. In a workflow which takes cues from early to modern innovations in photography, Zak’s process is spontaneous yet highly controlled. The locations are frequently visited and photographs are scheduled for when the lighting is optimal. Colour and tone of the images are composed to evoke a painterly feeling, inspired by the fairytale like nature of the terrain. Our prints are produced using Giclee print processes on 285gsm, premium quality, fine art archival paper with authentic UV inks. This practice produces gallery-quality prints, with superb depth of colour, longevity and stability of 80+ years.  Prints are accompanied by a certificate of authenticity, blind embossed with our company seal.  Our frames are handmade from sustainably sourced, natural wood, using acid free archival materials. We use acrylic glass on frames that require shipping to ensure they arrive undamaged.
