Unique art nouveau /art deco style clay earrings. Perfect for a 1920's themed wedding or formal event. Hand crafted from cold porcelain clay. Only one pair was made. The process: I mix and knead all my cold porcelain clay by hand. This is the most physically demanding part of the making. The clay is then coloured in small seasonally themed batches. Each clay piece is formed using minimal hand tools and, once cured, sanded and polished before receiving a final coat of varnish or textured paint to give it a protective layer. Only a few pairs of each design are created, and often only one pair of a kind. I use only nickel free ear wires and studs. Some pieces are finished with surgical stainless steel. Care instructions: Cold porcelain clay is remarkably strong and will handle normal day to day wear very well. I wouldn’t recommend you throw them or head band in them though. The finished pieces are very light so even larger pieces can be worn comfortably. All earrings have a protective coating but nevertheless they prefer to stay dry, so not suitable for swimming or showers.
